Capacity Building Officer - Resilience and Livelihoods (Mansourieh)


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design

Define the reference Material to be adopted in the planned beneficiaries training

Support consultants in the development of training curriculum

Develop training schedules and attendance sheets for beneficiaries as per project needs in consultation with project teams

Set Milestones in consultation with project teams for the implementation of planned trainings to meet targets.

Assist in proposals for livelihood projects.

All Livelihood/ WASH and Infrastructure is designed in line with international and local best practices

Complete technical project documentation including calculations, BOQ’s, specifications, quality plans, method statements and drawings

Sound proposal solutions responding to needs as assessed

II- Implementation

Deliver trainings to target beneficiaries as per the developed curricula and guidance of Technical specialist and consultants.

Continuously adapt and maintain training material based on learnings and experience.

Ensure required documentation is taking place and accurate for all training related acitivites.

Prepare the list of attendees, their attended hour of training and relevant cash assistance.

Identify trends and odds in attendance and participation of beneficiaries and propose relevant interventions.

Provide regular reports on progress of trainings and targets reached.

Quality Infrastructure is implemented within the planned project timeframe and budget.

Correct payment orders

Information Management / Reporting

Prepare weekly reports and keep track of the weekly progress towards targets.

Ensure that all beneficiary training data is well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground.

Validate the accuracy of the data, and the quality of the Infrastructure interventions.

Study and propose alternative solutions to reach targets when necessary.

Coordinate closely with project managers and other team members.

Communicate results with program coordinator.

Well-managed and clear databases are being used to plan, monitor, and modify the interventions.

Security Management Responsibilities

Responsible for day to day security management

Abide by the security procedures and policies and report any breaches

Participate in personal safety training as required

HEA Responsibilities

Be aware of emergency procedures in a response

Other Duties

Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally, if any.

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture events and

Perform other relevant tasks as assigned

Ensure personal safety and the safety of the field team.

Be an active member of World Vision staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Nutrition, Economics, Agriculture economics or other relevant fields
  2. 4-6 Years of experience in similar training delivery roles in similar topics of agriculture, finance and nutrition.
  3. Detail-oriented personality
  4. Independent, Self-Starter and creative and able to work without supervision
  5. Strong English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written)
  6. Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation
  7. A high level of diplomacy and networking skills is required.
  8. Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
  9. Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
  10. Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources
  11. Ability to use a computer, with word-processing and spreadsheets, (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  12. Experience working collaboratively in a team
  13. Experience in coordinating activities with partners and delivery of capacity building content to vulnerable population.
  14. Experience in NGOs, preferably in implementing capacity building or livelihood programs involving assessments, design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation and monitoring

  18. Experienced in community mobilization and the ability to manage meetings with farmers, community leader’s, government officials, NGOs and other stakeholders (ensuring gender balance in participation). Interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
