World Vision Lebanon (WVL) is implementing several project activities in North Bekaa to support Syrian and Lebanese beneficiaries. These activities aim to enhance food security, improve livelihoods, and provide essential aid to vulnerable communities.

To ensure the effective and timely execution of these activities, WVL requires a team of casual workers who will support the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Accountability, and Cash components of the project. The casual workers will play a vital role in data collection, beneficiary support, and on-site coordination, ensuring the smooth delivery of project objectives.

Purpose of the Position

The casual workers will support the implementation of project activities by assisting in data collection, beneficiary interaction, and site management. They will contribute to ensuring the quality, accountability, and efficiency of service delivery while maintaining high ethical standards and respecting beneficiary dignity.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

  • Handle and fill out questionnaires accurately.
  • Discuss challenges faced during data collection with the supervisor.
  • Submit tasks on time and provide daily feedback, including highlights, notes, and protection cases.
  • Conduct impact assessments and PIM data collection.
  • Ensure accuracy of information before inputting into the database.
  • Report total households visited and any critical issues faced, including protection cases.
  • Immediately report any problems encountered in the field to the team leader.
  • Assist in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) as required.
  • Attend necessary trainings.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to collective shelters to gather information/feedback.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to kitchens and address any arising issues.

Accountability

  • Listen to and register complaints or concerns raised by beneficiaries.
  • Guide beneficiaries at the help desk, ensuring accurate information sharing.
  • Provide information on services offered by World Vision and partner organizations.
  • Refer beneficiaries to appropriate services based on their needs.
  • Enter all data collected through the help line daily.
  • Contact beneficiaries for follow-up or specific inquiries.
  • Collect and refer complaints to designated officers.
  • Coordinate closely with the accountability officer.
  • Submit completed tasks on time and discuss any challenges or notes with the supervisor daily.
  • Provide daily reports.

Cash

  • Maintain crowd control at entry points and waiting areas.
  • Verify beneficiary IDs and relevant documents.
  • Train beneficiaries on the validation/distribution process.
  • Facilitate beneficiaries' movement within the validation site.
  • Adhere to World Vision’s policies and standards.
  • Coordinate closely with the supervisor.
  • Discuss and resolve challenges encountered during activities.
  • Interact with beneficiaries professionally and respectfully, ensuring adherence to the daily plan and beneficiary list.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and accountability.
  • Facilitate the layout of validation/distribution sites in a professional manner.
  • Train beneficiaries on the purpose of the validation/distribution process.
  • Verify the beneficiary's ID, UNHCR certificate, and E-card number before validation.
  • Make no-show phone calls to follow up with absent beneficiaries.
  • Perform post-activity reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Good written English and proficiency in spoken Arabic and English.
  • High school certificate or undergraduate diploma.
  • Good knowledge of the North Bekaa area.
  • Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Respect for cultural sensitivities and the ability to engage with beneficiaries with dignity.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to respond to beneficiary inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to gather information objectively and sensitively.
  • Expertise in data entry, transcription, and maintaining records in written or electronic forms.
  • Basic understanding of technology, including the use of tablets.
