PURPOSE OF POSITION: To coordinate the implementation of the project by addressing children and community needs in a sustainable manner. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1- Facilitate project’s implementation Coordinate access to the child friendly spaces for all Children, parents, Animators/teachers. Ensure that minimum standards of the child friendly are considered. Support in conducting structured group activities, such as art, cultural activities, sports, games and life skills building. Monitor the implementation of the project action plan with the support of the animators. Supervise the Animators/Caregivers in the implementation of the daily activities. Coach and provide logistical support to animators/caregivers within their daily work. Set weekly meetings with Animators/caregiver to follow up on the implementation of activities and progress of children. Ensure that children arrived to the center on time safely. Ensure that the sessions are conducted on time. II- Ensure children’s safety and protection Identify key protection threats affecting the children and raise them to project manager. Ensure the implementation of solution measures addressing the threats. Identify safety issues and raise to project manager and when necessary follow-up with the risk manager on the safety and security of the chosen locations III- Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing Ensure all project means of verifications (MOV) including attendance sheets, pre posttests, evaluation documents… Are in place. Enter all project related MOV into the system. Support the Project Manager in the development of different project reports. IV- Handle logistics responsibilities Coordinate with the Project Officer on the list of items needed for the center to be purchased. Make sure that the purchased items are in place. Prepare asset list for all the center items. Follow up with Bus Drivers on children transportation. Arrange for meals during the Center activities. 4- Perform other duties as required Safety and Security responsibilities Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager HEA responsibilities: Be aware of the emergency procedures in a response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented after coordination with Project manager Other duties: Attend and participate in local and international capacity building events as needed Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events Perform other related tasks as required by the Project Manager. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor degree in a social development related field, (kindergarten studies, psychology, sociology, social sciences/humanities, specialized education or social animation) Experience in project implementation, monitoring and report writing. Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge or Arabic language is an added advantage Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team. Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations Knowledge of the psychosocial guidelines and approaches related to emergency context ( MHPSS IASC guidelines, PFA principles, etc.). Familiar with core principles of Children Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community and Family Support as well as Children in Emergencies minimum standards. One year experience in a similar related job. 100% field work (Community Centers) Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally. Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
