MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

40%

Facilitate project’s implementation

Projects activities are implemented as per the developed action plan

Coordinate access to the Community Center for all Children, parents and employees.

Ensure that minimum standards of the community center are respected.

Support teachers in conducting ECE and BLN activities when needed

Monitor the implementation of the project action plan with the support of the teachers.

Supervise the teachers in the implementation of the daily activities.

Coach and provide logistical support to teachers within their daily work.

Attend the weekly meetings with project manager and teachers to follow up on the implementation of activities and progress of children.

Ensure that administrative/ logistic issues are discussed during the weekly meetings with staff

Ensure that children arrived to the center on time safely.

Ensure that the sessions are conducted on time.

Plan with the teachers the cyclic meetings for parents.

Identify children's special needs (e.g. health, PSS, learning difficulties) and refer them to appropriate stakeholders in community

Refer children to education opportunities and follow up on the referral cases

Ensure children’s safety and protection

Children attending the activities are protected and safe

Work in compliance with and respect of the principles of Child Protection and confidentiality, working with refugee and host communities with sensitivity

Identify key protection threats affecting the children and raise them to project manager.

Ensure the implementation of solution measures addressing the threats. Identify safety issues and raise to project manager and when necessary follow-up with the risk manager on the safety and security of the chosen locations

Identify children requiring case management and ensure safe referral to case management agencies or service providers in coordination with project manager.

Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing

Progress reports are done and submitted as per the required deadline

Ensure related project means of verifications (MOV) including attendance sheets, pre posttests, evaluation documents… are in place for each activity.

Enter related MOV into the system.

Handle logistics responsibilities

All administrative and logistics matters are followed up on to ensure timely implementation of activities

Coordinate with the Project Manager on the list of items needed for the center to be purchased.

Assist the project manager in the preparation of annual procurement plan

Prepare PRFs and POs on provision.

Make sure that the purchased items are in place.

Prepare asset list for all the center items.

Follow up with Bus Drivers on children transportation

Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.

Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor degree in a social development related field, (kindergarten studies, psychology, sociology, social sciences/humanities, specialized education or social animation)

One year experience in a similar related job.

Experience in project implementation, monitoring and report writing.

Good Command of written and spoken English. Knowledge or Arabic language is an added advantage.

Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Ability to cope and work under pressure.

Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.

Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license

Willingness to learn and ask questions

Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.

Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations

Knowledge of the psychosocial guidelines and approaches related to emergency context ( MHPSS IASC guidelines, PFA principles, etc.).

Familiar with core principles of Children Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community and Family Support as well as Children in Emergencies minimum standards.

100% field work (Community Centers)

Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.

Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disas
