The Policy and Advocacy Intern will support World Vision Lebanon (WVL)’s FY26 advocacy plan, particularly the ENOUGH Campaign and the Action Agenda for Children (AA4C). The intern will contribute to research, documentation, campaign implementation, and stakeholder coordination at both national and local levels, supporting WVL’s efforts to influence child-focused policies and amplify community and child-led advocacy across Lebanon.
Research and Policy Analysis
- Conduct desk reviews and assist with research on policies related to child nutrition, education, and protection.
- Support the development of advocacy briefs, stakeholder maps, and evidence-based policy materials.
- Identify policy gaps and contribute to formulating key advocacy asks and recommendations.
Campaign Implementation
- Support the rollout of the ENOUGH Campaign at the national level, including developing materials, coordinating with media, and planning key advocacy moments.
- Assist in organizing policy dialogues with ministries (MoPH, MoSD, MEHE), donors, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to digital storytelling and public engagement content related to campaign themes.
Community and Youth Engagement
- Support local advocacy initiatives, including youth-led activities, Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) processes, and engagement with local authorities.
- Assist in coordinating with youth councils, Mother Action Groups (MAGs), partner NGOs, and advocacy coalitions.
- Participate in community awareness sessions and help document local perspectives on nutrition, school meals, and child rights.
- Travel to WVL field offices in North Lebanon, South Lebanon, Bekaa, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon may be required depending on activity needs.
Documentation and Reporting
- Compile and synthesize community and stakeholder feedback to inform national advocacy messaging.
- Prepare meeting notes, reports, and campaign summaries.
- Maintain stakeholder databases and assist in tracking advocacy engagements.
- Support the preparation of donor and regional reporting inputs, including stories of change and campaign impact documentation.
