Consultant For Psychological Support Group-South Lebanon

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: “Early Childhood Care & Development (ECCD) and Psychosocial Support for children in South Lebanon affected by the Syria Crisis” is a project funded by World Vision US (WVUS) and implemented by World Vision Lebanon (WVL). It is an integrated education and protection program focusing on children aged 0-12, with age-appropriate programs offered holistically in a social development center (SDC) center to ensure children at every age will not be left behind – the ECCD component of the program will focus on children aged 0-6 while the Child Protection component will focus on children aged 6-12. Furthermore, capacity building for parents and caregivers of children 0-3 years old in ECCE is necessary to enhance the early development of children, as well as encourage and prepare for enrollment in formal education at age 3-5. For children aged 3-5, the project will offer pre-primary programs – this will create a unique opportunity for younger children to uptake education activities. Implementing Psychosocial support activities will incorporate activities for parents, including positive parenting skills and promotion of child rights, as well as play activities for children as young as under 5, gender sensitive activities for boys and girls, and social cohesion and peace- building activities designed by World Vision through a ‘whole-of-community’ approach, which is critical to engaging children, parents, caregivers, teachers and the broader community creating a framework of sustainable outcomes. The project as such will target children from both the Lebanese and Syrian community.
