Tasks
patrolling property and checking doors, windows and gates for unauthorized entry in any distribution location
watching for irregularities such as fire hazards, malfunctions of equipment, lights left on and unlocked security doors
issuing security passes to authorized refugees and giving directions
monitoring exits , refugees lines and contacting the FSO, by radio or phone if security is breached or fire is detected
picking up and ensuring the safe delivery of goods , vouchers and valuables
operating delivery support and packaging functions
maintaining order at venues where there are large gatherings of people during distributions
Providing support to the FSO and the Risk manager during detecting and investigating theft and other unlawful acts carried out in retail establishments or warehouses
advising refugees on safety requirements and designing security specification
Experience
At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal tasks listed above.
In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal tasks
Skills
have an understanding of the vulnerability aspects of refugees
have the will and motivation to work in the humanitarian field
have the ability to work under stress and react calmly to stressors arising during work especially when dealing with the refugees
