Distribution Coordinator

  WORK CONTEXT / BACKGROUND    World Vision Lebanon decided to address the urgent survival needs of Syrian Refugee families and their children in the Bekaa in coordination with the international and local organizations intervening in the area.   MAJOR TASKS: Support the procurement officer in the process of Non Food Items (NFI) purchasing Participate in the preparation of distribution plans  to ensure the timely delivery of the required commodities Coordinate the transport, receipt and storage of NFIs in the designated warehouses. Ensure that the commodities that are dispatched from the warehouse to the distribution locations are handled with high management and accountability levels in compliance with all WV and other international standards to avoid losses Coordinate and manage distributions of NFI’s with relevant stakeholders to the affected families and children Insure the accurate and timely reporting of all inventory associated with distributions Support in the post-distribution monitoring that will assess whether assistance was received, the way this assistance was provided, and whether the distribution held any potential risks of concerns. Responsible to hire and manage qualified distribution workers Train hired workers on distribution process and ensure that beneficiaries’ registration process is in line with established policies and guidelines Knowledge and Skills   Experience in relief work and knowledge in NFIs distribution Very good oral and written command of Arabic and English Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity Familiarity with Humanitarian Accountability Concept and Do No Harm.
