PURPOSE OF POSITION:
We are seeking a very dynamic and well-organized person to support the logistics of all Education and CP projects including response and development. The Logistics Officer must oversee and coordinate various tasks in order to maintain and support a smooth implementation of Education and CP activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, schedule and monitor logistics of material/equipment according to needs and procedures.
Projects activities are implemented as per the developed action plan

Support Education and CP project teams in all logistics for the opening/ relocation/closure of spaces;
Support and facilitate the logistics of education and CP events and activities.
Facilitate the coordination and signature of agreements with municipalities and schools in order to proceed with establishment of Education and Child Protection (CP) spaces;
Coordinate with the Education and CP team and support the Identification and evaluation of Informal settlements to be targeted with education and CP activities;
Interact with contractors and suppliers, in coordination with the Education and CP teams;
Support the Education and CP teams in facilitating the distribution of Gifts in Kind and education and CP material.
Prepare and update the list of items to be purchased when needed and coordinate with World Vision Lebanon Procurement officer on all procurement needs;
Prepare reports on deliveries and recipient of supplies and assist in the maintenance of thorough procurement files/documentation;
Assist with logistics tasks such as asset tagging, inventory records in Education and CP spaces, and payment of utility bills;
When needed collect quotations and bids from the market to support the procurement team;
Coordinate with suppliers and ensure that meals/snacks are delivered to Education and CP locations, whenever partners are not providing it;
Arrange transportation for children to and from Education and CP spaces;
Facilitate the rehabilitation process of the determined locations (Painting, procurement of needed material, installation of the sound system, bathroom renovation, etc.).
II- Ensure children’s safety and protection
Children attending the activities are protected and safe

Work in compliance with and respect of the principles of Child Protection and confidentiality, working with refugee and host communities with sensitivity
Identify key protection threats affecting the children and raise them to the centre supervisor.
Identify safety issues and follow-up with the centre supervisor on the safety and security of the chosen locations
Inform the Center Supervisor about any health issues that could arise among children
Identify children requiring case management and ensure safe referral to case management agencies or service providers.
III- Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing
Progress reports are done and submitted as per the required deadline

Assist in the closing of files by ensuring that all child development information is complete and organized according to the file checklist.
Collect data on the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled
Enter all project related MOV into the system.

Safety and Security responsibilities
Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager
HEA responsibilities:
Be aware of the emergency procedures in a response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented after coordination with Project manager
Other duties:
Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality PSS and referrals, and reporting requirements are followed
Attend and participate in local and international training and capacity building events as needed
Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
University degree.
At least two years' work experience in logistics, procurement, or related field. Familiarity with procurement and rental markets in the project locations strongly desired Capable of dealing with children who have experienced war distress (education in emergency preferable).
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work flexible schedule,
Good interpersonal skills and ability to create and work as a team.
Creative and able to come up, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children
Good knowledge of English
Computer proficiency
Driving license holder
75% field work (centre) and 25% Office work.
Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
