Project Coordinator

MAJOR TASKS:   Monitor the implementation of the project with the support of the field people, NGOs, stakeholders, external consultants and World Vision Lebanon staff if needed. Evaluate the implementation of the project according to the approved stated objectives, plan of actions, budgets and      record progress. Organize regular follow-up and planning meetings for the project team and/or local partners Support the partners’ staff in the implementation of the daily activities; conduct various field visits to the different areas of operations to monitor and supervise the progress of the work periodically. Participate in evaluating the impact of the project’s interventions on the beneficiaries periodically and develop case stories when possible in coordination with the Communications department (once needed, on occasional basis). Recruit volunteers and organize motivational activities for them Build the capacities of the project field staff through coaching, CB events, and on-the-job training Review partners’ monthly reports and provide them with feedback. Prepare Progress reports on the proceedings of the project (financial and operational). File all important records and correspondences related to the project. Prepare and update the list of items to be purchased when needed (with the help of the local NGOs and the field interns); coordinate with World Vision Lebanon Supply Chain officer on all procurement needs. Prepare or/and follow up on all means of verifications for all the activities. Prepare or/and follow up on contracts, amendments, cash requests, payment orders, receipts, TORs, checks, advanced payments, minutes, etc. Strengthen the networking between partners and all stakeholders in the project area. Seek new opportunities for supporting the project/program and partners. Knowledge and Skills   Excellent command of English and Arabic. Effective in written and oral communication. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Major flexibility in accomplishing tasks. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Computer literate in Microsoft Office package. Good project management skills  Experience Minimum of 2 years experience in community work. Work Environment: 40% field work 60% Office work
