ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION
I. Management:
a) Manage the planning and implementation of the project according to the approved proposal.
b) Manage the budget planning and expenses according to the approved budget.
c) Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project according to approved stated objectives, plans of action, budgets and record progress.
d) Lead and supervise coordination with partners in local communities to plan, implement and monitor the project.
e) Organize regular follow-up and planning meetings for the project team and/or local partners
f) Monitor the partner field office (payment of salaries, fees, running costs, maintenance, materials).
g) Monitor partners’ implementation of the weekly, monthly and annual action plan with the support of project team, the community volunteers, field interns, NGOs, stakeholders, external consultants, and World Vision Lebanon staff if needed.
h) Assess training needs of partners and manage organization of needed training to the partners and other interested NGOs.
i) Conduct monitoring field visits to the partners on a bi-weekly basis.
j) Participate in evaluating the impact of project interventions on the beneficiary population periodically (as needed, on occasional basis).
k) Build the capacities of local partners to assess, plan, design, implement, monitor and evaluate this specific project.
II. Reporting and administrative tasks:
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports on the proceedings of the project (operational and financial reports).
Monitor the filing records and correspondence related to the project.
Prepare list of items to be purchased (with the help of local NGOs and field staff), follow up on the received offers from the key vendors in coordination with the Procurement Officer.
Develop yearly partners’ cash flows and agreements.
III. Networking and fundraising:
Find funding opportunities for project partners and assist them in applying for it.
Participate in writing concept papers and proposals in coordination with the DME staff
Improve network between partners and all stakeholders in the project area.
Communicate with donor on any necessary changes in the main planned activities and budget usage.
VII. Other:
a) Build a database of trainers, suppliers, companies, NGOs and others which may help in the implementation of any workshop training.
b) Carry out public relations activities, which include accompanying foreign visitors and donors to the project (as needed, on occasional basis).
c) Work towards his/her own self-development through participating in various capacity building trainings as offered and requested by the World Vision team.
d) Represent World Vision when requested and necessary.
e) Develop a lessons learned inventory.
f) Coach, manage and work closely with the project team in WVL.
g) Perform other tasks as the need arises to support in relief interventions in the project sites.
