Project Officer-WFP SMEs (Offer Pending Donor's approval)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

Ensure Implementation and Coordination

Implement assigned tasks as per the implementation plan

Comply and abide by WV best practices and donor regulations in data gathering and procurement processes.

Inform the project coordinator of any deviations from the planned activities;

Purchase items in line with the budget and instructions given by the Project Coordinator;

Responsible of the coordination with the procurement department to ensure equipment, machines and services are being delivered to SMEs on time.

Consolidate all procurement requirements in coordination with Business Coaches, Industry and Technical Experts, and follow-up  with WVL's procurement department for all in-kind grants

Support coordinators in SME outreach activities

Support coordinators in organizing the trainings for SMEs

Support coordinators in following-up with SMEs

All project deliverables are met within the agreed time-frame and budget in compliance with donor regulations, WV’s and international best practices;

Reporting

Fill in the reporting templates and checklists upon the follow up with the SMEs

Collect means of verification for MEL coordinator to evaluate progress of work against the indicator

Prepare all administrative and logistics requirements for the implementation of the activities.

Deliver high quality, accurate and timely daily reports;

File all relevant project documents in line with WV’s requirements for project auditing;

Track task progress in line with the established tracking system;

Conduct data gathering for project amendments and proposals;

Timely progress monitoring and plan adjustments when needed.

Monitoring, Accountability and Protection Mainstreaming:

Support actions to address beneficiary feedback and complaints.

Actively participate in lessons learned session for the project;

Report any child labor cases in any of the SMEs.

Provide SMEs with all project details and accountability mechanisms.

Ensure transparency and accountability towards SMEs and beneficiaries.

Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events

Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture

Report CP incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager

Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

Experience in SMEs or entrepreneurs support;

Experience in coordinating with consultants and coaches;

Experience in data gathering and focus group discussions;

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the NGO sector, preferably in livelihoods or economic development;

Required Education,

training, license,

registration, and

certification

Bachelor degree in business, economy, social science or any relevant field…

Able to use a computer, with word-processing (e.g. Microsoft Office) and spreadsheets, internet and e-mail

A valid driver’s license (more than 1 year old);
