The Research and Data Analyst will be assisting the MEAL department primarily in Research and Monitoring and Evaluation related tasks.

Research

• Provide technical support into the research design and tools development.
• Support the Research and Data analyst to implement research studies according to research plans (data collection, data analysis, dissemination of research findings).

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Lead on field level implementation of assessments and evaluations (pilot testing tools, data collection, recruitment and management of casual workers, training on data collection tools, performing spot checks)
• Ensure projects’ data is collected, documented and handled properly as per WVL data protection standard
• Perform data analysis and report write up with the support of the Senior MEL Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Research Design, Social Science, or any relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the area of M&E, research, statistics and statistical inference methods, and data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent written English, with fluency in speaking Arabic and English.
• The position requires a minimum of 20% field-based work
• Ability to attend and participate in capacity building opportunities, trainings and meetings locally and internationally as required by the organization.
• Willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
