Social Worker

MAJOR TASKS: Attend regular distribution sites and other WV projects to refer protection cases to adequate service providers Attend regular sessions at the CFS and ALP to observe and be available for assisting with information provision and referrals of cases identified requiring ongoing and/or specialized protection or mental health support Conduct visits to specific parents in order to understand the children’s family structure and enhance proper discussions with parents to follow-up on the child’s issue. Ensure proper filing is done regarding every case, visit and discussion. Report must be written mentioning major points in addition to recommendations and follow-up plan. Discuss with other social workers specific case studies for better intervention. Maintain adequate safeguards for the privacy of the family and confidentiality of  information. Create and follow-up with case workers from other NGOs Write a monthly report about the evolution of work in this project and show the results reached in this specific aspect.      Participate in all coordination meetings required Requirements An  understanding of World Vision’s core value and humanitarian mandate which includes adhering to the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies. Understanding of humanitarian work, principles and challenges Experience in project implementation, monitoring and report writing. Good command of English, both written and oral. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Flexibility in accomplishing tasks. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. Willing o travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license. Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team Work Environment  Spend 70% of the time in the field and 30% in the office
