Technical Expert/consultant For Education And Life Skills

THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY:  World Vision Lebanon is looking for a 3 months full-time consultant with a strong background and experience in Education and Life Skills within Development and Response areas. The consultant’s main role will be to work as an Education Specialist with WV Lebanon in order to advise on all Education programs within the Development areas and Response ones. REQUIRED TASKS: Overall The Consultant will play the role of advisor for all Education and Life Skills projects in WVL and represent WVL at all meetings related to Education with MEHE, UNHCR, UNICEF and all other inter-agency meetings.   Main tasks required:   Ensure quality implementation of Education and Life Skills projects in all WVL programmes: Conduct periodic visits to ADPs and project sites in order to provide ongoing assistance in implementation and ensure project models are well implemented. Conduct regular meetings for the Education coordinators at WVL. Review, analyze, and provide feedback on the education and life skills component of programme / projects reports (including assessment reports, PDDs, monitoring and management reports as well as evaluation reports).  Represent World Vision Lebanon in National Education networks:  Attend all Education meetings at the Ministry of Education, UNHCR, UNICEF and all other relevant meetings.  Advocate with government and cluster meetings on education and life skills issues and cooperate with relevant agencies to create projects for education strengthening systems.  Liaise and network with other WV entities within the partnership for sharing and dissemination of best practices, information access, and resource acquisition.  Ensure support for all new designs in the Education sector: Provide project models ideas for new grants opportunities in Education and Life Skills, whether for the Host communities or the Syrian Refugees.  Provide feedback on new designs and ensure alignment of projects with the current Education situation of the country.  CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  The Consultant should have the following competencies and experiences:   -          Significant technical experience in Education programs.   -          Advanced degree in relevant field (e.g. Social Sciences, Education, etc). -          Demonstrated knowledge on project cycle management and log frame approach. -          Familiar with civil society and NGO engagement.   -          Good analytical and critical thinking. -          Strong English language proficiency   DURATION OF THE CONSULTANCY:    The consultant will provide services for WVL from August 20 until November 20, 2014.
