Technical Expert/consultant For Life Skills

1-    THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY:   World Vision Lebanon is looking for a short term professional expert with a strong background and experience in life skills for children. The consultant’s main role will be to train WVL implementing partners in order to plan and animate life skills sessions with children aged from 3 to 12.     2-    REQUIRED TASKS:   Overall The Consultant will prepare and give the material for the life skill training to be given to project staff. Project staff will be able to organize effective life skill sessions.   Specific Required Tasks   -    Prepare training material for 2 training days in animating life skill sessions.    -    Prepare curriculum for 16 life skill sessions for children with disabilities and special learning needs.   -    Coach project staff upon giving their life skill sessions and provide them with on – the spot observations and advice.   -    Assess the quality of sessions provided and analyze the needs.   -    Provide a follow up session.   -    Provide detailed report upon the accomplishment of all tasks.       3-    CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:   The Consultant should have the following competencies and experiences:   -          Degree in Social animation -          Experience in life skill sessions -          Familiar with civil society and NGO engagement.  -          Good analytical and critical thinking. -          Strong English language proficiency   4-    DURATION OF THE CONSULTANCY:     The consultant will provide services for WVL as needed during the period from March 1st - until May 31st, 2015.       Task Timeline Prepare the training material for 2 training days in animating life skill sessions.    First week. Prepare curriculum for 16 life skill sessions for children with disabilities and special learning needs.   Second week. Give the training   Third week. Attend two life skill sessions and provide observations and recommendations Coach project staff upon giving their life skill sessions and provide them with on – the spot observations and advice. Forth week. Provide a follow up session. Fifth week. Provide detailed report upon the accomplishment of all tasks. Sixth week.
