YAZAN

The YAZAN cultural association is aiming at using the arts (performing arts, engaged movies) to reach every locality in Lebanon through the Network for Cultural Outreach, founded with two other entities: Yaraqa and Clown Me in, with the support of the European Union and Cultural Resource (Mawred).
We firmly believe that artists and filmmakers are entitled to address burning political and social issues and we think that decentralisation of the arts and of engaged theatre and film allows regenerating the debate, the exchange of ideas and the creation of change. Touring in towns and villages capacitates the artists as well as the audience as it allows encounters, practice , presence, sharing, listening and giving, all qualities of performance and documentary cinema.
