Community Research Capacity and Engagement Program

The YMCA of Lebanon, in collaboration with the YMCA of Finland, is pleased to announce the launch of the Community Research Capacity and Engagement Program, an exciting learning and implementation journey designed for youth leaders and CSO workers who want to strengthen their ability to conduct meaningful, participatory research and drive community change.
This program will equip participants with the skills, tools, and mentorship needed to design and implement research projects that address real community needs.

Program Structure

Phase 1: Foundational Workshop (October 9–12, 2025): A 4-day face-to-face residential training in a hotel in Mount Lebanon workshop to equip participants with community-based research skills.

Phase 2: Thematic Implementation and Mentorship (October–December 2025)

Participants will work in teams. Each team will attend a mini thematic workshop ( 3 to 4 hours) and receive online mentorship, and implement their own applied research projects ( 1 to 2 days).

Graduation Event (December 12, 2025): Presentation of research findings, recognition of participants, and networking with stakeholders.
