Communications Officer

Zico House seeks a communications officer for the new program to join the existing young and dynamic team.  We are looking for creative, curious, open and enthusiastic candidates to fill in the existing vacancies. Scope of work:  Develops a comprehensive media and communications plan during the first month of the project. Builds a contacts list of press and media contacts Develops a message manual for the project  Further develops the concept and branding of each event Develops the content of the monthly house agenda, distributes it and maintains and updates mailing list by new contacts from the website and event sing-in sheets Manages relationships with the media (newspapers, radios, and TVs) Establishes Facebook and Twitter accounts and updates them Develops the concept of the website (including text, video and photography) with the website designer and makes sure its content is regularly updated Overlooks the messages portrayed in the publication (posters, fliers, newsletter, etc) and provides for their sync with general project visual identity Qualification:  Fluent in Arabic, English, and French is a plus Excellent writing skills in Arabic and English Excellent communications skills Excellent knowledge of social media Minimum five years’ experience in working with media Proven track of meeting deadlines Availability to work weekends and long hours
