ِAhmed Abdelwahab

Mr. Ahmed Abdelwahab is a senior banking executive and MSME advisor with 25 years of experience in MSME sector development and 15 years of experience in regulated financial institutions.
Mr. Abdelwahab has solid track record of working with commercial and Islamic banks, including National Bank for Development (NBD) and Abou Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), as well as experience in working with microfinance institutions in Egypt and MENA region.
Additional to banking experience, Mr. Abdelwahab has a solid record in training, risk management, products development, green financing, and Social Performance Management (SPM) in projects funded by international donors such as USAID, EU, and AFD.
He is a certified trainer in SPM from Microfinance Center (MFC) & Arab Microfinance Network (Sanabel), certified Social Auditor from MFC, and completed E-learning course titled “Facilitating Social Performance Management” from Micro Save. Mr. Abdelwahab has a solid experience in delivering trainings in SPM to Microfinance institutions (MFIs) in MENA regions in addition to conducting social audit missions and establishing social performance departments in several MFIs.
He holds a M.Sc. in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce of Ain Shams University, a certified expert in Risk Management from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, completed online training on Green Energy Finance from Renewable Academy (RENAC). He is fluent in Arabic and English
