Rana Abdel Malak, PhD

I am an experienced high-profile healthcare consultant, executive, professional trainer, and educator. I am based in Beirut, Lebanon, and work on projects worldwide. I am a PhD holder from the University of Texas, USA, with a research focus on healthcare leadership and management and long-standing experience in acute care practice, executive leadership, and consulting.
I am highly credentialed and hold four highly regarded certifications: Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) with distinction, an American Board certification as nurse executive advanced level (NEA-BC), the International Council of Nurses Global Nurse Consultant (CGNC) certification, and a Fellow by the American Academy of Project Management (FAAPM). I also serve as an appraiser for nursing continuing professional development units in the American Nurses Association credentialing arm for both provider (since 2012) and approver (in 2023) units.
My experience in healthcare is diversified and has many focal points. I have extensive operational experience in the implementation of tier-one international designations and accreditations and other breakthrough initiatives driving healthcare excellence in the Middle East. Also, I have a strong know-how in capacity building of healthcare professionals and a growing portfolio of accredited courses in areas related to leadership and management, workforce issues, change management, the latest trends in healthcare such as patient experience and telehealth, etc. I also possess in-depth experience and robust know-how in healthcare training and development, starting from inception to execution. My research portfolio includes innovative research projects in areas such as leadership at the point of care, workforce issues, and social determinants of health.
