Project Officer - Akkar

The Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the project’s activities and tasks assigned to attain goals and objectives of the projects.  Duties Support the Project coordinator in all aspects of the program implementation and development as requested Actively assist and participate in regional education coordination meetings with partners as requested by the Project Coordinator Ensure transparency, ethical conduct and efficiency in project implementation  Report on project activities and expenditure as requested by the Project Coordinator and according to project timeframes Preparing of monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested by the Project Coordinator Report to Project Coordinator any changes which impact the project implementation Responsible for monitoring and supervision of activities implemented in the project’s sites to ensure effective implementation Responsible for monitoring and supervision of education teams’  performance according to the standards and indicators required for the project implementation Supervising and recording project activities expenditure against budget Responsible for managing project database and other M&E tools  Implement the project M&E plan in a professional manner  Visit project sites on a regular basis as requested by the Project Coordinator Participate in Project review as requested by the Project Coordinator Provide technical support to project team and partners when necessary Identify training needs in the context of the project Participate in designing research/study, collecting analyzing data, translating document research findings together with other project team members, partners and consultants Prepare and participate in periodical meetings as requested by the Project Coordinator Coordinate with project teams in documentation of projects’ achievements Business Skills Strong personal initiative and willingness to accept responsibilities Comprehensive grasp of logistics operations and practices Ability to deploy to remote locations and to operate independently in austere environment Ability to manage and mentor a team by demonstrating leadership Good communication skills including ability to prepare and present concise oral and written logistics operations reports, briefings, updates and other documentation Ability to conduct meetings Demonstrate management skills, planning and organizing Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor work plans Sound judgment in applying technical expertise to resolve a rank of issues/problems Good negotiating skills and ability to influence others to reach agreement Good interpersonal skills Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic, and French Computer Skills Microsoft office – all applications Software applications required for daily operations
