1. Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities (max 10)

Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards
Report all protection related concerns
Prepare field reports
Prepare and file relevant documents as required by line manager
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
Support the Education Officer in implementation of educational activities
Responsible for: collecting, archiving and up-dating the data
Implement and monitor education and community mobilization activities planned
Coordinate with and support the Refugee Outreach Volunteers involved in the project implementation
Promote and support the set-up of Parents Committees
Carry out regular community mobilization and awareness raising sessions
Coordinate participatory assessments
Participate in school distribution
Monitor the provision of transportation support in 2nd shift schools and in vocational education
Report on a weekly basis to the Education Officer
Perform any other task as assigned by NRC management

Fluent in English
University level degree in education, social studies, or any other relevant field
Advanced computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
Relevant experience in social and community engagement activities (data collection and community consultations)

Strong organizational and team working skills.
Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential.
Knowledge of NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus.
Strong documentation, research and report writing skills.
Knowledge and relevant experience in child protection issues.
Experience in community sensitization/ mobilization.
