Psychosocial Support Officer

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting regular one-on-one sessions with participants who wish to converse with a mental health professional.
  • Conducting assessments to identify the severity of mental health symptoms as well as diagnosing when needed.  
  • Developing and tailoring treatment plans for each participant on his/her caseload.
  • Establishing positive and trusting relationships with participants.
  • When required, refer participants to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs.
  • Maintaining the strictest confidentiality of each and every participant’s profile, needs, and –when applicable- diagnosis.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related fields
  • Possession of all necessary state licensure requirements
  • 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably working directly with clients
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen
  • Solid relationship-building capabilities
  • A positive and compassionate attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
