Project Coordinator-North Lebanon

Main Responsibilities

 

Project Coordination and Implementation

  • Ensure that the project/activities under her responsibility are delivered within budget, on time, and in line with the project proposal, timeline and logical framework.
  • Conduct field visits for monitoring and implementation as required by the project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and Mada’s regulations for procurements, purchases, etc.
  • Propose project changes and amendments based on needs on the field and evolving situation to the Executive Director.
  • Support the implementation of other agriculture activities by Mada when time allows it and in agreement with Executive Director.
  • Liaise with the project partner(s) to ensure proper implementation and meeting the targets and objectives of the project.

 

Reporting

  • Ensure quality and timely reporting (internal and external) based on Mada and donor requirements
  • Provide timely input for the as required.
  • Provide input for financial reports to the Admin and Finance Coordinator.

 

Financial Management

  • Manage the budgets for the project/activities under her responsibility under the supervision and in coordination with the Executive Director.
  • Ensure payments/purchases are within budget limits and meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Admin and Finance Coordinator to provide supporting documentation, quotations, and any other required documents. 

 

Additional Tasks 

  • Support proposal development for funding continuation and expansion of the Agriculture Pillar through input from the field, data collection, and attendance to proposal design meetings.
  • Develop and maintain positive and fruitful relationships with relevant stakeholders including farmers, cooperatives, municipalities, etc.
  • Represent Mada at the Livelihoods Working Group in the North.
  • Identify new stakeholders and ensure proper coordination, including other I/NGOs to avoid duplication.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Full adherence to Mada’s mission and vision, as well as Ethics Code.
  • 3 years of experience working in NGOs in the development sector.
  • A degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, or related disciplines.
  • Good organizational, coordination and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience in Project Cycle Management.
  • Experience working in North Lebanon, and especially Akkar.
  • Experience working with local authorities is desirable.
  • Proactive, flexible and dynamic.
