PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Responsible of the preparation of plans and targets segmentation for new projects.
  • Producing templates and required forms and/or questionnaires for the new projects,
  • Developing indicators and establishing baselines and targets at output and activity level for Projects;
  • Conducting periodic evaluations for the multiple Programs/ curricula to track the performance and satisfaction of clients;
  • Producing the SOPs for the different activities in the Capacity Building and Technical Assistance department;
  • Ensuring that activities are clearly defined, including indicative activities, tasks and sub-tasks as well as deliverables for each activity to enable efficient monitoring.
  • Elaborating proposals of new projects based on clients’ requirements and Technical Assistance Manager’s instructions.
  • Developing with the coordination of the department Manager the Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Producing new training materials for the internal and external trainings,
  • Updating and translating training materials for the different programs;
  • Managing the Manager in the overall training strategy/ planning and its modules; including field visits
  • Drawing up the workflow of the main activities in the department;
  • Follow up with team on the implementation daily, weekly
  • Reporting monthly, quarterly and annually the achievements of the department narrative and financial.
  • Conduct Research, Feasibility Studies, projections for new opportunities or new business solution
  • Making sure activities is cost-effective within budget and time limits.
  • Formalization of Business products, Fundraising, PR
  • Managing proposal process
  • Developing M&E, budgets, and project designs.
  • Builds regional-focused relationships with representatives of potential donors and strategic partners.
  • Identifying donor resources and raising funds.
  • Creating or handling PR and Marketing tools

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
  • Broad understanding of principals of international development, including sub-fields such as community mobilization, local governance and civil society development, local economic development, entrepreneurship, empowerment and/or others.
  • 3-5 years of experience in middle/senior management. Experience in NGOs is a must.
  • Experience in NGOs is a must.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment. Proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions based on accurate judgment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage deadlines, to manage others and to work independently.
  • Ability to travel extensively to region of responsibility.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail.
  • French is a plus
