The Educational specialist will be responsible for plans and coordinates educational programs. Develops curricula, prepares relevant presentations and materials, and organizes and delivers and/or facilitates classes, workshops, seminars, and other training services. Provides student advisement and associated services as appropriate.
Scope of Work:
- Plans and designs curricula for educational programs; researches and defines educational goals, objectives, and methodologies to meet program goals.
- Coordinates activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
- Manages and facilitates educational activities, to include trainings, conferences, seminars, and/or other special projects.
- Writes, edits, and coordinates development of course catalogs, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
- May lead or guide the work of lower graded staff.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Establish performance goals and objectives for the center and for teachers.
- Monitor students' progress.
- Keep teachers trained and motivated.
- Formulate mission statements.
- Visit classrooms to evaluate teaching methods and provide performance standards for teachers and other employees and prepare the corresponding reports.
- Prepare reports on student attendance and performance.
- Prepare reports on students' performances and initiating test preparation for students and teachers.
- Responsible for disciplining students.
- Designing evaluation processes and innovative evaluation tools, analyzing data, and preparing reports
- Conduct information/ training sessions for staff
SKILLS:
- Spoken and written fluency in English /Arabic /French.
- Good writing skills.
- Leadership skills are a must.
- Capacity to work in teams and flexibility to take on new tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
