The Data Analyst Expert will:
- Develop a data analysis methodology and workplan aligned with the project objectives.
- Review and analyze available quantitative and qualitative data related to detention conditions, legal aid, and gender-sensitive treatment within the Lebanese justice system.
- Identify key trends, patterns, and gaps within the available data.
- Produce statistical analysis and data summaries to support the development of reports and legal briefs.
- Develop data visualizations (graphs, charts, and tables) that clearly present key findings and support advocacy messaging.
- Prepare a presentation summarizing the key findings, data analysis, and recommendations of the study to support advocacy and dissemination efforts with relevant stakeholders.
- Integrate feedback from the project team into analytical outputs.
- Present the findings to stakeholders at a dissemination event that you organize and deliver.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical use of all data collected and analyzed
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced university degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, research, or evidence-based policy work.
- Proven experience in analyzing complex datasets and producing analytical reports.
- Experience in producing data-driven reports, policy briefs, or research publications.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills using tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI, or similar software.
- Knowledge of the Lebanese legal or justice system is an asset.
- Previous work related to detention, prison reform, women’s rights, or access to justice is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
