Oxfam has been working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for over five decades and over the past four decades it has been promoting gender equality and supporting women’s right to participate and be represented in governance and decision-making structures and processes.
Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 2006. Oxfam has a regional Gender Justice Hub that administers a regional gender justice programme and a Lebanon programme working on Water and Sanitation activities, Protection and Emergency Food and Sustainable Livelihoods programmes. Oxfam works with local Lebanese non-governmental organisations and local municipalities.
