About Rahma
The Association des Jeunes Islamiques (ADJI) is a non-profit rehabilitation and healthcare organization operating in Lebanon since 1997. ADJI delivers specialized, patient-centered rehabilitation services — including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychosocial support — to individuals with disabilities, children, and the elderly.
ADJI also manages the Rahma Primary Health Care Center (PHCC), a MoPH-licensed facility that offers comprehensive and inclusive health services to vulnerable populations in Tripoli and North Lebanon.
Committed to upholding the highest ethical standards, ADJI enforces a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and requires all personnel to adhere to the PSEA Code of Conduct.
About the Project
The Rahma PHCC is currently implementing a 12 month, community-based health and nutrition intervention funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (OCHA/CBPF) under project code CBPF LEB 25 S NGO 35817.
The project aims to reach 7,000 vulnerable individuals in Tripoli and North Lebanon, with a focus on neighborhoods such as Jabal Mohsen and Abi Samra. It provides life-saving primary health care services, including nutrition, mental health, SRH, and immunization, through a multidisciplinary, community-driven approach.
About the Position
ADJI is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join the Rahma PHCC team and provide specialized mental health care to individuals experiencing moderate to severe psychiatric conditions. The Psychiatrist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, and community health staff to ensure safe, ethical, and coordinated care.
Scope of Work
The Psychiatrist will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and consultations
- Develop treatment plans and manage pharmacological interventions
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust medications as needed
- Collaborate with the MHPSS team for integrated case management
- Ensure proper referral pathways to secondary/tertiary care
- Maintain strict confidentiality and documentation as per MoPH and project standards
- Contribute to mental health reporting via PHENICS and ActivityInfo
Minimum Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry
- Valid license to practice psychiatry in Lebanon
- At least 3 years of experience in psychiatry
- Knowledge of MoPH mental health protocols and mhGAP guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically and sensitively with vulnerable populations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
