Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:
ROLE PURPOSE:
To maintain the IT infrastructure of the SCI Lebanon program, as per requirements of staff and under the direction SCI global standards and requirements and the Finance and Support Services Director. To ensure the correct functioning of software and systems. To monitor backup, antivirus and other security processes as well as server performance and Internet connectivity. To provide high-quality IT support to staff in a helpdesk role. To ensure adherence to corporate standards. To provide training and up-to-date information regarding the operation of computer systems and software
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
To monitor, carry out regular and periodic preventative maintenance.
To provide user support to all Beirut, Tripoli, Koubayat and Zahle staff.
Provide needed technical support to SCI country offices users ensuring that all systems are functioning to the standard level in line with IT services agreements.
To ensure the correct functioning of software and systems at all times.
To monitor electronic filing and support staff to make the organization of electronic files logical and intuitive.
To submit weekly IT sitreps to the Logistics Manager and Finance and Support Services Director.
To install and update software. To provide hands-on support and/or training.
To advise on software/hardware purchases in all Lebanon country offices and to install and configure it ready for use. To ensure such processes adhere to SCI standards.
To keep abreast of future developments and initiatives in the Lebanon country programme and to plan for them as necessary.
To collaborate with the Logistics Team to maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
To ensure regular updates of anti-virus software.
To ensure weekly backups of all office data.
To develop a Disaster Recovery Plan for Beirut, including off-site backups.
Produce periodic reports to management to ensure that management is equipped with necessary information for decision making.
To establish an IT helpdesk
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
4 to 5 years’ experience in IT domain.
Excellent communications skills and service-oriented attitude
High degree of organization and reporting skills
High level of competence in support and maintenance of computer systems, with a special emphasis on:
Windows Server software, Windows XP and Windows 7
TCP/IP and Local & Wide Area Networking
Microsoft Office
Database software
GIS an mapping software
Internet technologies and IRC
Printing and scanning
PC/Server hardware troubleshooting and installation
Experience of providing IT Related trainings
Ability to liaise effectively with external organizations (such as ISPs)
Initiative to take on responsibility and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work to deadlines
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as member of a team.
Understanding of and commitment to Save the Children’s mission and values.
