The training course aims to share knowledge and promote evidence-informed and best practice interventions that are required for advancement of Universal Health Coverage, inclusion and social cohesion, as well as preparing for and responding to emergencies in the context of refugees and migrants in EMR.
This course aims to familiarize staff working in national and international NGOs with the concepts, mechanisms, processes, and best practices in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). The course will highlight the roles and responsibilities of various concerned actors, including NGOs. The DRR for NGOs course has been designed to complement the theoretical frameworks used in DRR with practical examples, real scenarios, and case studies.
This virtual event aims to bring together Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in Lebanon to:
1- Share what are different NGOs doing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Lebanon
2- Map what are different NGOs able to offer to the community* during the COVID-19 pandemic through resource mobilization
3- Draft a potential collaborative response plan to the COVID-19 situation through the contribution of different participating NGOs
* Community refers to both Lebanese citizens and refugees of different nationalities.
