Background:
IMC’s MEAL Team is conducting a PSS activity Satisfaction Survey for DFAT that will feed into the 3rd year annual report.
Task Description: Consultant will serve as the enumerator for project’s activity in the Lebanon.
Specifically, Consultant will complete the following tasks
Main duties of enumerators:
Attend a training explaining the survey to be conducted, the context of the survey and the data collection time frame and process.
• Be present at IMC office in Beirut to conduct surveys by phone
• Conduct phone surveys with respondents, and record their answers accurately
• Ensure that the number of respondents surveyed is correctly captured and reported to the M&E Officer
• Report certain situations that may arise directly to the M&E Officer
• Respect the confidentiality of the information shared by respondents
Preferred skills and competencies:
Previous experience in data collection specifically surveys using ODK, Kobo Collect, Survey CTO
High attention to details
High level of punctuality, and s/he should be very organized
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Respect for individuals from all nationalities
Familiarity with the humanitarian field, and a high level of cultural sensitivity
Respect for the importance of confidentiality
General specifications for all positions:
Experience in working closely with community members throughout a program cycle
Experience in or understanding of program accountability principles
Knowledge of, respect and empathy for the communities we are working with
Commitment to championing community and partner points of view
Strong understanding of the project cycle and of M&E systems
Good interpersonal and influencing skills
Non-discriminatory and readiness to involve men, women, girls and boys from diverse backgrounds, particularly the most marginalized segments of the community
Very good listening and facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants, local officials, partners and all levels of staff
Ability to mobilize people – to develop and maintain relationships with staff and communities to ensure their participation in International Medical Corps ways of working
