YLI Trainer

Main Responsibilities:

● Facilitate two to four trainings per week for youth from Ouzai community and the adjacent
areas
● Provide structure that facilitates youth participation and engagement by teaching them
planning, report writing, finance, procurement, and project implementation
● Follow-up with the youth on their projects and be accessible for any question or concern
● Ensure that the designed projects fit all the criteria, so they can be eligible for
implementation
● Guide the youth throughout the implementation of the accepted projects
● Coach and empower youth to apply and feel confident in using their learned skills
● Foster peer-to-peer relationships and support to build and broaden youth social skills
and networks
● Provide individual support and informational resources to youth
● Perform all other duties as assigned, including conducting evaluations, writing reports,
and attending regular staff meetings

Skills & Qualifications:
 University Degree in a related field
 Previous experience as youth leader or trainer required
 Good connections within the Ouzai community or means to establish them
 Aware of the needs of the Ouzai community and its stakeholders (municipality, clubs,
playgrounds…)
 Accomplishes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and with a keen eye for detail both with
quantitative and qualitative data
 Efficient time management and the ability to think outside the box to meet expectations
 Ability to work both under direction and autonomously with a “can-do” attitude
 Fully proficient in Arabic and English
 Well organized and attentive to details
 Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
