Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Manage the daily operations of the NGO, ensuring smooth functioning of programs, administration, and support services.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of all departments (e.g., Programs, Finance, HR, Communications, Fundraising, Research).
  • Monitor progress on organizational goals, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board.
  • Lead internal meetings to align priorities, troubleshoot challenges, and foster collaboration.

Strategic Support

  • Translate the CEO’s vision and strategic priorities into actionable operational plans.
  • Assist in developing and implementing organizational policies, systems, and processes.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for the CEO, Board of Directors, and donors.

Representation & External Relations

  • Represent the NGO at conferences, working groups, donor meetings, and media events when delegated by the CEO.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, international organizations, and community stakeholders.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure effective budget management, compliance, and accountability.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts by supporting proposal development and donor reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and donor requirements.

People & Culture

  • Supervise department heads and ensure effective team performance and staff development.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven work culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and capacity-building of staff.

• Advanced degree in Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field (MBA or MPH preferred).
• 7–10 years of senior management experience, ideally in the NGO/nonprofit or social impact sector.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in operations management, strategic planning, and stakeholder relations.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English and Arabic required, French a plus).
• Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the NGO.
