Awareness-raising Consultant

About Us

Warchée is a Lebanese NGO committed to empowering women and promoting gender equality through innovative and inclusive projects focusing on TVET and employability in male dominated sectors like carpentry. We design and implement programs that foster economic participation, strengthen communities, and create sustainable opportunities for all.

Our Values

  • Empowerment: Supporting women and communities to reach their full potential.
  • Equality: Promoting fairness, inclusion, and gender equity.
  • Collaboration: Working hand in hand with partners and communities.
  • Integrity: Acting with transparency, respect, and accountability.
  • Innovation: Finding creative solutions to today’s challenges.

Role Overview

The Awareness-Raising Consultant will play a key role in bridging the gap between trained female and private sector actors. By equipping companies with tools to embrace diversity and by analyzing their workplace structures, the Consultant will help identify both opportunities and challenges for full female integration. The role requires strong facilitation skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders, including business owners, HR teams, and workshop supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver short awareness-raising sessions on diversity, inclusion, and gender equality for partner companies.
  • Facilitate discussions that encourage companies to reflect on stereotypes and barriers in male-dominated sectors.
  • Conduct assessments with each company to understand workplace dynamics, constraints, and opportunities for female integration.
  • Co-build with company representatives tailored integration paths, including specific measures to support women’s participation and well-being at work.
  • Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations with the project team.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation by providing qualitative feedback and data on training outcomes and integration processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Warchée’s program staff to ensure alignment with the broader employability program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in training, facilitation, or awareness-raising, ideally on diversity, inclusion, or gender equality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage different types of stakeholders (youth, companies, managers, workers).
  • Understanding of workplace dynamics in Lebanon, preferably within vocational or male-dominated sectors.
  • Ability to analyze challenges and co-develop practical, context-sensitive solutions.
  • Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English or French (written and spoken).
  • Flexibility, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
