Objective of the Assignment

The objective of this assignment is for the theatre artists to create and perform a compelling, socially relevant play, “Behind the Screen”, that raises awareness about digital violence and its impact on teenagers and families. The artists are expected to:

1. Translate real-life experiences of digital violence into engaging and educational storytelling.

2. Use creative performance techniques to stimulate reflection, dialogue, and empathy among the audience.

3. Facilitate interactive post-performance activities that encourage audience participation and discussion on safe online behavior.

The selected collaborator will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of the community theatre performance “Behind the Screen”
Key tasks include:
• Collaborating with community artists to develop the theatre script and performance addressing digital violence.
• Ensuring the performance aligns with the theme of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and reflects real-life inspired stories.
• Facilitating the interactive session following the performance to engage caregivers and teenagers in interactive scene and discussion.
• Ensuring logistical arrangements (venue setup, materials, sound, and visual needs).

Deliverables
Theatre Script & Rehearsal Plan: A finalized script developed and shared with LECORVAW.
Live Performance: One community theatre performance (1 hour) at Beit Al Fan Theatre on December 3, 2025.
Interactive Session Facilitation: A 45-minute participatory discussion and activity segment with audience engagement

5. Required Qualifications and Experience

- Proven experience in community theatre, participatory art, or creative activism.

- Demonstrated ability to develop performances addressing social or behavioral change themes.

- Experience working with adolescents and caregivers in awareness or education programs.

- Strong facilitation and communication skills in Arabi.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with partner organizations and adapt creatively to community contexts.

Duration of Assignment
The assignment will cover the full preparation, implementation, and reporting period, estimated from November 27 to December 03, 2025, including:
• Preparation & Rehearsals.
• Event Implementation: December 3, 2025.
