Key Responsibilities
A. Case Management & Direct Service Provision
- Provide comprehensive, confidential, survivor-centered case management to high-risk or complex cases.
- Conduct intake, safety planning, risk assessments, and develop individualized care plans.
- Offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and ongoing follow-up with survivors.
- Ensure safe and appropriate referrals to medical, psychosocial, legal, protection, police, and shelter services.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case documentation.
- Ensure accountability and strict adherence to GBV guiding principles (safety, confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination).
B. Supervision & Team Leadership
- Supervise case workers, case aides, interns, and volunteers as assigned.
- Provide regular technical support, mentorship, and case conference sessions.
- Review case files and ensure compliance with organizational SOPs and donor requirements.
- Identify staff capacity gaps and lead or support training sessions.
C. Coordination & Networking
- Maintain collaborative relationships with community leaders, government counterparts, and partner NGOs.
- Liaise with health facilities, police units, shelters, and legal partners to strengthen referral pathways.
- Ensure survivors receive holistic, multi-sectoral support.
D. Monitoring, Reporting, & Data Management
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required by management and donors.
- In coordination with the direct line manager, the senior case worker will be responsible for conducting the client feedback surveys and Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and the PAM to ensure service quality, identify gaps, and inform program improvements.
- Ensure data protection protocols are strictly followed.
E. Community Engagement & Prevention Support
- Support and conduct awareness-raising sessions on GBV, rights, and available services.
- Lead safe community outreach strategies targeting vulnerable groups.
F. Safeguarding, Ethics, & Professional Conduct
- Report any misconduct or safeguarding concerns immediately.
- Maintain professional boundaries and survivor-centered conduct at all times.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gender Studies, Public Health, or related field.
- A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years minimum experience in GBV case management or protection work.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Experience working with GBVIMS, case management SOPs, and protection standards.
- Experience in NGO or humanitarian sector preferred.
Competencies
- Strong understanding of GBV, protection, safeguarding, and survivor-centered approaches.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and psychosocial support skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, and in challenging settings.
- Fluency in English; local languages preferred.
Working Conditions
- Based in Akkar, with frequent travel to field sites.
- May require weekend or emergency response hours.
- Exposure to emotionally distressing situations; psychosocial resilience required.
