The Lebanese Council to Resist Violence Against Woman (LECORVAW) is a non-governmental organization working for the purpose of fighting and resisting all forms of Violence Against Women (VAW) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Lebanon. Back in 1997 LECORVAW was established by a group of social activists which saw the need to make a stand and stop all forms of violence and discrimination against women, by 1999 LECORVAW had two Listening and Counselling Centers operating in both Beirut and Tripoli fully equipped and ready to receive Women survivors of VAW & GBV and their children and provide them with free social, mental and legal services.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured Zumba sessions suitable for participants’ age, fitness level, and cultural context.
- Lead warm-up, main activity, and cool-down exercises safely and effectively.
- Encourage participation, motivation, and positive group dynamics.
- Ensure participants’ safety and follow basic injury-prevention practices.
- Adapt movements to be inclusive of beginners and participants with limited physical ability.
- Coordinate session schedules and needs with the project team.
- Maintain attendance records and provide brief session feedback when required.
- Comply with organizational safeguarding, PSEA, and code of conduct policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Zumba Instructor or proven experience in delivering Zumba or dance-fitness sessions.
- Previous experience working with groups (women, girls, or community members preferred).
- Basic knowledge of physical fitness, body movement, and injury prevention.
- Understanding of psychosocial well-being and stress-relief approaches is an asset.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and respectful manner.
