Short Bio
Fadel Fakih currently holds Executive Director position at the Lebanese Center for Human Rights. He poses vast experience in Environmental, Developmental, and Humanitarian work having worked with 5 international organizations and 2 national ones in the last 11 years. Fadel held key positions within the organizations, including head of Design, Monitoring and Evaluation; Head of Research; and Head of Campaigns. In his education, Fadel combines between Business Management and Psychology, as he has a B.A. in Business Management and Masters in Clinical Psychology, with additional focus on Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
Experience with the Civil Society
Most of my experience was with international organizations in Lebanon and United Arab Emirates. I have started in Greenpeace Lebanon, then moved to a local organization named Green Line where, both focusing on environmental and social issues. In Green Line I have managed to create 2 coalitions, one focusing on sustainable transportation and another for the protection of Green Spaces. Moving to regional focus, I have worked with the L'Union Internationale Des transports Publics, who's focus was on promoting public transport in the MENA region as part of a global campaign. Coming back to Beirut, I have joined Heartland Alliance International who was working on Gender Based Violence and combating poverty in Lebanon. From there I joined Search for Common Ground, who's focus on conflict transformation. Moving to my current position, as I currently work at Centre Libanais Des Droits Humains, focusing on human rights in Lebanon.
