Rosabelle CHEDID

Dr. Rosabelle B. Chedid has extensive experience working with civil society organizations, particularly within the humanitarian and health sectors in Lebanon. Since 2003, she has been actively engaged with the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC), where she currently serves as Research Lead within the Medico-Social Sector. In this role, she designs and oversees national health needs assessments, rapid assessments, patient satisfaction surveys, and sector-wide evaluations that inform evidence-based programming and strategic planning.

She is also the President of St. Charbel’s Youth Association (SCYA-NGO), a registered Lebanese NGO focused on social support, health assistance, education, and community development. Under her leadership, SCYA has conducted multisectoral assessments, supported vulnerable families with medical and basic assistance, and implemented awareness and capacity-building initiatives, particularly during periods of economic and public health crises.

Through these roles, Dr. Chedid has strengthened institutional accountability systems, led volunteer engagement frameworks, coordinated with national and international stakeholders, and contributed to improving access to equitable, community-centered healthcare services. Her civil society engagement combines research rigor, operational leadership, and community empowerment.
