The event is a Panel Discussion in association with Caritas Lebanon and the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development to discuss the Participation of the Non-Governmental Organizations and Institutions in the Execution of the United Nations Sustainable Development Plan.

Capacity building is fundamentally about improving effectiveness at personal and organizational levels.The program focuses on the advancement of the civil society in Lebanon and the region. Participants are provided with working knowledge of managerial, financial, and vast organizational aspects of non-profits in society. Accordingly, two primary disciplines are adopted, the organizational planning for NGOs and the personal dynamics for the team members as agents of change.

This course covers monitoring and evaluation theory (including needs assessment, program theory assessment, evaluating the processes of a social and development initiative, outcomes assessment, impact assessment, and assessing the efficiency of a social initiative). The course also discusses the formulation of evaluation questions, data collection, analysis and reporting, and provides students with the opportunity to analyze case studies of actual assessments of initiatives carried out in the field. Increasingly, it is being recognized that volunteering is a valuable resource and should be managed and supported as effectively as possible. By the end of this course, participants are expected to be able to; recruit and manage volunteers, develop policies and procedures for volunteers and identifying the volunteer motives, strengths and weaknesses.

The Business Leadership Program introduces participants to various leadership skills and practices. It enables participants to examine the necessity of leadership, the effective tools to employ it, and the means of positively influencing others. The Program differentiates between managers and leaders and notes the significance of each to ensure success. 

This comprehensive course offers participants with the fundamentals related to the writing of a good and persuasive concept paper. It helps grant seekers deal with the very techniques which enable them submit a convincing document by addressing the real problem and exploring the necessary solutions pertaining to the funding source.

This course introduces the key concept of social marketing and how it differentiates from traditional marketing by acquiring a deep foundation of technical knowledge and skills. It focuses on the basics of how to influence social behaviors with a professional marketing approach.
