Beirut bar association

About
The Beirut Bar Association seeks to advance the rule of law, uphold the independence of the legal profession, and ensure the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms in Lebanon. Building on its mandate to regulate and support the legal profession, the Association works to strengthen access to justice and promote high standards of legal practice and professional ethics. In line with its commitment to human rights, the BBA plays a key role in addressing pressing societal challenges, including Gender-Based Violence (GBV), by promoting survivor-centered legal responses, enhancing lawyers’ capacities in protection frameworks, and advocating for the effective implementation and reform of relevant laws. Through legal education, capacity building, and collaboration with public institutions and civil society, the Association contributes to a more responsive, accountable, and inclusive justice system—one that ensures protection, dignity, and equal access to justice for all, particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups.
