We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to fit the position of Registration and Training Assistant.
Who are we?
Danish refugee council has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The Registration and training assistant will work as part of the DRC Livelihoods Team and be responsible for the registration of job-seekers, both referred by other agencies and self-identified through frequent travel within the project geographic focus areas, in addition to regular follow-up with selected beneficiaries enrolled in vocational trainings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interview job seekers and employers and register them using the DRC Information Management (IM) system to record individual profiles, occupational codes and client group categories
Answer phone calls, offer general information on the DRC Livelihoods activities, the services offered and respond to inquiries, directing job-seekers and employers to the relevant Livelihoods staff for specific matters/queries
Provide information to job-seekers on employment options, including self-employment and training courses
Assist with data collection on the local labor market and enter information on the database
Be responsible for the logistical arrangements of meetings, workshops and other events under the DRC Livelihoods programme of work
Support in the enrolment and regular attendance of beneficiaries in skills development trainings and apprenticeship program
Support monitoring the vocational and life skills trainings through collecting attendance sheets, following up with beneficiaries to set the schedule under the supervision of the Job Counselor and Placement Officer
Address complaints or issues related to the livelihoods activities and report back to line manager when needed.

Required qualifications
Graduate in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum two years of work in similar positions
Previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination of beneficiaries at all times
Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
Computer literate with good experience in excel
Works well in a team and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
Good in writing and speaking
We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of September 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from March 2017 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates and Nationals; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level B1 equivalent to a basic salary of 1287 USD.
