KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
To establish systems to better manage Company IT infrastructure.
To provide support for the ERP system and follow up on changes and bugs.
To provide user support to all staff.
To monitor servers, carrying out regular routine preventative maintenance.
To ensure the correct functioning of software and systems at all times.
To monitor internet connectivity and network usage. Reporting and following up any disconnections or downtime.
To install and update software. To provide hands-on support and/or training.
To advise on software/hardware purchases and to install and configure it ready for use.
To produce & distribute training materials and carry out training on the use of IT systems as required.
To ensure regular updates of anti-virus software.
To ensure weekly backups of all office data.
To develop and follow a Disaster Recovery Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent communications skills and service-oriented attitude
High degree of organization and reporting skills
High level of competence in support and maintenance of computer systems, with a special emphasis on:
Windows Server 2008R2, Windows XP and Windows 7
Cisco Call Manager
TCP/IP and Local & Wide Area Networking
Microsoft Office 2010
Oracle Database software
Oracle Forms and Reports
Internet technologies and IRC
Printing and scanning
PC/Server hardware troubleshooting and installation
Experience of providing trainings
Initiative to take on responsibility and work with minimal supervision
