Gender Based Violence (GBV) Officer - Immediate Hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Provide technical supervision for case workers on case management using le corvaw’s tools and global guidelines on GBV case management.

Provide technical supervision for case workers and community mobilizers for PSS activities and its curriculum

Provide daily support and capacity building (coaching) for case workers and community mobilizers on PSS activities, case management and GBV risk mitigation.

Coordinate and link the prevention and response program to ensure the project is responding to the need of the women and girls ona individual and community level 

Coordinate with partners and appropriate experts for project planning related to the continued delivery of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response and prevention package in the static and mobile safe spaces.

 

Other

Manage the program filing system for all activities and ensure that information is organized accordingly to the reporting and auditing needs of the program. Ensure required levels of confidentiality.

Maintain, monitor and measure GBV project implementation data entry.

Education and/or Experience:

Degree in social work, gender studies, social sciences or other related fields.

At least 3 years’ of experience working on issues related to gender based violence, GBV case management, and/or child protection

 

Good knowledge on the GBV programs in lebanon and sector endorsed tools is strongly desired

Have previous experience in training and coaching is an added value 

 

Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

 

Fluency in Arabic and English for conversation, note taking and reporting.

 

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office (word, Excel, power point, outlook)

Moreover, flexibility, a sense of humor and willingness to challenge social norms is a plus.
