The Lebanese Council to Resist Violence Against Woman (LECORVAW) is a non-governmental organization working for the purpose of fighting and resisting all forms of Violence Against Women (VAW) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Lebanon. Back in 1997 LECORVAW was established by a group of social activists which saw the need to make a stand and stop all forms of violence and discrimination against women, by 1999 LECORVAW had two Listening and Counselling Centres operating in both Beirut and Tripoli fully equipped and ready to receive Women survivors of VAW & GBV and their children and provide them with free social, mental and legal services.

 

About the job

We are seeking a certified and experienced Yoga Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and leading yoga classes for  groups of varying skill levels and ages.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

 

  • Plan and deliver safe and effective yoga classes that cater to the needs and goals of the participants.
  • Demonstrate and teach yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices.
  • Modify poses and sequences to accommodate individuals with injuries, limitations, or special needs.
  • Educate participants on the benefits of yoga, including physical, mental, and emotional health benefits.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Promote yoga classes and other related events to attract and retain participants
  • Continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge through continuing education and self-reflection

 

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating yoga poses, and assisting participants with adjustments. Moreover, we also expect the following:

 

Qualifications:

•              Certification as a Yoga Teacher from a recognized yoga school or program

•              Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching yoga to individuals and groups

•              Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•              Ability to modify poses and sequences to accommodate different levels and abilities

•              Strong organizational and time-management skills

•              Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•              Passion for yoga and commitment to the principles of yoga practice

 

Physical Requirements:

The job may require standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating yoga poses, and assisting participants with adjustments.

Working Conditions:

The job may require working in Akkar and Tripoli, work environment may include a variety of settings, such as yoga studios, fitness centers, community centers, and outdoor locations.
