MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision:
Under the regular supervision of the Child Protection Area Officer, the Child Protection Data Caseworker will be responsible of:
- Preparing caseload list for Caseworker and himself/herself for follow up and sharing it weekly
- Ensuring that all data is entered correctly and in time (IMS, etc), provide feedback to caseworker/CP officer in case of gaps or incoherent information (according to the Case management national SOP)
- Ensure that different databases are up to date and complete
- Ensure that all data manipulation and sharing are done following the confidentiality principle and information sharing procedure (computer, soft files password protected, hard files locked and only shared on a need to know basis etc.)
- Preparing and sharing challenges in the data entry and Case Management system;
- Preparing minutes and action points of monthly Case Management Meetings for sharing;
- Ensure that the Case Management system is functional and follow the SOP;
- Participate in the development of lesson learned and best practices;
- In coordination with caseworker participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the program;
- Organize the case conference, to discuss challenging cases, ensure timely follow up, and that all systems are functional;
Implementation:
- Participate and support the identification of children at risk and/or child survivors;
- Receive referrals for case management from the animators, educators and outreach workers through CP area officer;
- Provide individual case management for children in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures;
- Conducting assessments and prioritizing cases according to risk;
- Developing case plans responding to needs, harm, and building on family and child’s strengths including home visits when and as necessary;
- Following up, monitoring and reviewing cases according to time scale target;
- Requesting assistance from Child Protection Area Officer when unsure how to respond;
- Ensuring that children who are referred to the Mental Health (MH) services exhibit MH symptoms as by Mouvement Social ’s Internal Operational Procedures;
- Entering new cases and follow-up actions in the data base weekly;
- Identifying and communicating gaps/mistake/discrepancy in the case file to the Child Protection Caseworker and Child Protection Area Officer;
- In collaboration with Child Protection Area Officer and Child Protection Coordinator, updating internal CM system to make it more functional;
- Support awareness raising activities in the community when needed; and Attend PSS activities when needed;
Documentation:
- Ensure the correct documentation and compilation of CM forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures (especially Data Protection Protocol and Information Sharing Agreements).
- Ensuring all case actions are documented thoroughly and weekly in case notes and other forms, including caseworker observations, actions taken and discussions held with child and family.
- Conducting regular case file audits to ensure data protection protocols are being adhered to and alerting CP Officer and Caseworkers of any gaps.
- Maintaining database according to standards and liaising with caseworkers when information is incomplete.
Coordination:
- Ensuring problems/challenges are referred to the Child Protection Area Officer for resolution;
- Maintain and update spreadsheets mapping services and focal points according to location
- In collaboration with the CP area Officer , follow up closely with the other organizations in order to ensure smooth referrals
- Collaborate closely with the Psychosocial team and the other sectors team
- Regularly attend case management meetings at field level
- Updating internal referral pathways and service directories.
Reporting:
- Write weekly report that include data compiling of total case load, analysis of trends and update of Case Management quality documentation following Case Management audits.
- Participate in trainings and workshops
Other:
· Promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Mouvement Social CP area officer and liaising with the team members and with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the acceptance and effectiveness of Mouvement Social program;
· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop Mouvement Social programs;
Who this position reports to:
· The Data Case worker reports to the Child Protection Area Officer.
Essential functional relations:
· Area Officer, Case Worker and psychologist
• Technical diploma or degree in social work, social science, pedagogy, human rights, or other related fields (mandatory);
• Minimum of one year of work experience in the area case management (mandatory);
• Experience in working with children (mandatory);
• Proficient in Word and excel (mandatory);
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic (mandatory), English speaking is an asset;
• Management experience (Preferable);
• Working experience in NGO (Preferable);
• Experience in working in emergencies (preferable);
• Knowledge of Child Protection database / CPIMS (Preferable);
• Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, able to handle pressure;
