Technical Expert / Engineer - South Lebanon

The Technical Expert / Engineer will provide technical guidance and supervision for the assessment, design, and rehabilitation of waterline pipelines to ensure sustainable, efficient, and high-quality water supply services.

The Technical Expert / Engineer will:

  • Conduct technical assessments of existing waterline pipelines, including condition surveys and performance analysis.
  • Identify rehabilitation needs, including pipe replacement, leak repair, and system upgrades.
  • Develop technical specifications, designs, and cost estimates for rehabilitation works.
  • Supervise and monitor implementation of rehabilitation works, ensuring compliance with project standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support to contractors and field teams during execution.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including local authorities, communities, and contractors, for smooth project implementation.
  • Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Ensure quality control and testing of water pipelines before and after rehabilitation.
  • Provide capacity-building support to local technical staff where relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Water Resources Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in water supply system rehabilitation.
  • Proven experience in water pipeline design, construction supervision, and rehabilitation projects.
  • Knowledge of water quality standards, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

The Technical Expert / Engineer will report to the Project Manager and work closely with other project staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
