About Terre des hommes Lausanne
Since its creation in 1960, the mission of Terre des hommes (Tdh) has been to come to the aid of children in need. It endeavors at all times to defend the rights of children, in times of war and natural disasters, or in less publicized situations of distress. Today, the Terre des hommes Foundation is a significant force among children’s aid organizations in Switzerland and throughout the world. Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programmes in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Every year, Tdh offers sustainable solutions and a better future for over one million children and their relatives.
Context:
Implementing development and emergency response Child Protection projects in Lebanon since the 1970’s, Tdh started activities for vulnerable children and their caregivers affected by the Syrian Crisis in South Lebanon from 2012. Over the past year Tdh intervention has reached over 28,000 beneficiaries and in 2016 onwards the organization will strengthen its integrated Child Protection and Gender Based Violence program. The project implemented in two districts of South Lebanon (Tyre and Saida) include psycho-social support services including case management, awareness raising activities, distribution of relief items and capacity building of local governmental and civil society actors in the field of CP and GBV. The project is implemented in close collaboration with national and international humanitarian response stakeholders.
Job Description:
-Development of databases and IM system serving efficently Programs in cooridnation with Program Co and M&E Manager.-Ensure databases include automatized analysis of data serving programs efficiently in close cooridnation with Program Teams and M&E Manager.-Supervise the work of data entry clercks and ensure that data are properly entered and hard copies filed.
Strategy and Policy:
Support the development of strategic guidelines for the delegation in coordination with the Q&A Coordinator, Program Coordinator and Delegate through ensuring an efficient data availability and analysis.
Skills required:
Knowledge of policies and global strategies of Tdh and of his/her sector
Research and development
Make suggestions and participate in the development of new tools and databases to imporve the IM system in place.

IM background,knowledge of main softwares systems (Access, Jaya etc)

Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract
Regularly communicate with his/her manager about the progress of his/her activities and problems encountered.
Coordinate closely with the M&E Sector in the Mission to ensure to have same vision and understanding of M&E and IM Activities.
Ensure and channel the flow of information between the IM Sector in the mission and the other departments (M&E, Programs, Training Officers etc).
Provide support to Program managers and Program manager Assistants to ensure data gathered are adequately entered and filed.
Provide technical support required by other departments in cooridnation with the line manager in relation to what is related to Information Management.
Lead, advise, support and supervise the members of the team under his/her responsibility in the implementation of their daily activities
Prepare monthly and weekly plans for his/her team
Recruit and train his/her immediate staff (welcome, integrate, listen, support, motivate, assess, involve, train, take disciplinary action against them, ensure they are updated and their skills are developed)

Review and develop databases following the needs of programs and startegic vision, including automatizes reports. Adapt databases accoridng to developing needs.
Ensure proper filing of hard copies.

High knowledge of IM Systems (Java, Access etc)
Information / Publications / Communication / Reporting (EN)
Ensure support is provided by the IM department when writing reports to M&E and Program Managers.
